As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Life is a journey, not a destination."
Setting a goal gives you focus, something to work towards, as well as something tangible/of value when you reach your goal. How often have we set a goal and in the process of reaching that goal our lives were enriched in many other ways – learning more about who we are… than we could have ever imagined.
Each and every day we are free to choose what path we will take. Every decision/choice that we make will have a ripple effect in the space of time. We are all here for an unknown length and it is up to us if we want to live life to its fullest each and every day or not.
I can’t tell you how many times I have had clients say, “I don’t know where time went” or “I don’t know how I got this way” or “I wish I could have done things differently” or a smoker who told me that she was diagnosed with lung cancer and said, “I never thought it would happen to me.” They are all surprised that the decisions/choices that they made prior had such an impact on their life today.
As a lifestyle/wellness coach, we focus on the decisions/choices that are/can be made today in order to change tomorrow. Everyone is unique – allow yourself to dream and set realistic goals.
You have the power to improve your life, your health and your future!
Listen to your dreams; set one, two or more goals; set your navigation course (create a plan of action to reach those goals), and set sail!!! It’s your journey – allow your motivation to be the wind in your sails.
